I’m writing this today because tomorrow, I go back. Back to being a law student again — after three years away from that world. And now, just like that, I’m standing at the gate once more.
When I look inside myself right now, what I feel is mixed. There’s a kind of joy, like I’m returning to an old version of me — the one who used to hope, who used to study, who used to try so hard. I keep reminding myself that this time is different. I can’t waste my hours carelessly anymore. I have responsibilities now, especially since I’ll be studying while still working.
There’s fear too. Can I really do this? I think that’s normal — it’s been a long time since I’ve lived in that world of law school. But above the fear, something stronger is glowing in my chest: hope. The hope that I still have a chance. A chance to change who I am. A chance to also change the people I’ll meet along the way, using whatever I learn inside those walls.
It’s true, what they say — that a lawyer is the product of many people believing in him. My classmates back then, the ones who are already lawyers now, believed I had potential, that I could become one too, simply because they did. That belief became a quiet force lifting me up, even in moments when I didn’t believe in myself yet.
Every day, we meet people who make us feel like we’re not enough. But what matters more is trusting yourself — knowing who you are, and what you can offer to others.
Today, August 13, 2026, I’m writing this down so I never forget how big this chance is — the chance to return to school, to try again. I hope that when I read this later, I find the strength to keep going, to endure this journey until the end. Let this be a reminder of where I started, and of my hope to become a better person — through everything I will learn in law.
